Compliance with a settlement agreement
For some reason, you and other condominium residents may have signed a settlement agreement before the Condominium Authority Court. If this agreement happens, all residents of the condominium must follow it.
However, it may happen that a new resident does not comply with a settlement agreement. Even though he is informed, he can refuse to follow the agreement simply because he disagrees.
If this situation happens in your condominium, you can file a lawsuit at CAT – Condominium Authority Court, to demand compliance with the settlement agreement. With the opening of the process, CAT can order the resident to solve the problem. However, you must know that there is a time limit that you have to enter the process at CAT.
If you are experiencing a problem with compliance with a settlement agreement, you cannot resolve it with CAT; we can help you. Contact us for a free consultation – 416-221-2221
