Workplace Disability is when an employee suffers an accident or any condition that prevents him from continuing his current job.

Depending on the case, the employee may be considered disabled and has the right to receive financial compensation.

Generally, in Ontario, disability benefits are provided by the employer’s insurance provider. However, depending on your employer’s situation, employment contract, he will need to replace your insurance provider by paying disability benefits directly to you.
